The tradition of pregnancy and postpartum henna comes from the Berber culture of North Africa and is believed to bless and protect both the new mama and the baby. Henna is applied to hands and feet just a few hours or days after birth to honor the event.

I love this celebration and I am happy to adorn a mama whenever she is ready. This sweet baby girl is just 6 months old and full of smiles.
